Good Deeds Program

Judge Jeff Beigel is hosting a series of presentations about the role of the Probate Court in our community.

The purpose of the program is to provide an overview of when Probate is necessary, the role of a Last Will and Testament, Guardianships, Adoptions, Marriage Licenses, Name Changes, Mental Illness, and other Probate matters.

Judge Beigel will review why a decedent’s assets can only be distributed with Probate Court’s approval, and when Probate is not necessary.

“One of the responsibilities of a Judge is to assist in educating the community about the role of the Court. For many, Probate Court is not well understood. We’re hoping that this will offer a better understanding of the Court’s role and service to the community,” said Judge Beigel.

The Court has given public presentations on May 19, August 20, November 20, 2025, and most recently on April 13, 2026.
